Happy National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day! Keene definitely wasn't going to miss out on participating in this annual event. Did you know that grilled cheese is one of the top comfort foods in the United States? The modern version of the grilled cheese sandwich originated in the 1920s when inexpensive sliced bread and American cheese became easily available. We are glad to know that it is still a favorite today! Enjoy!

DC’s guide: National Cherry Blossom

If you live in the DMV area, you have probably heard about The National Cherry Blossom Festival. The festival attracts more than hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the country. The event spans over four weeks (March through April) and showcases more than 3000 cherry trees. The cherry trees were given from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo City to the city of Washington, DC. The gift was given as a celebration of the growing friendship between the United States and Japan.
