Family Fun this Weekend!

After a week of cold wind and clouds we are welcoming this weekend with open arms. The weather man says it’s going to be 75 on Saturday and that means it’s the perfect day to get outside and soak in some rays! Trying to plan the perfect day for the whole family? Here are some of our tips on what to do this weekend with your kids!

The cherry blossoms are supposed to be at peak bloom this weekend. Grab the whole family and your bikes and take a long bike ride around the Jefferson Memorial. Make it extra special by packing a picnic and getting ice cream from the food trucks after!

Check out the Chevy Chase Farmers Market located at . Your kids are sure to love the authentic belgian waffles from Les-caprice de Joelle or one of the fifteen flavors of pickles from DC Dills.

Rock Creek Park is always a family favorite for hikes through the woods. Hike near the Smithsonian National Zoological Park to take a quick trip to the zoo after you grab lunch!

Looking for a little bit of an educational day for your family? Head over to Mount Vernon to tour George Washington’s vast estate. Admission is $17/adult, $9/ages 6-11, free for children 5 and under.
