Winterizing Your Home
Keep the cold out and the heat in with these tips for winterizing your
home this season!
1. Protect Your Pipes
Turn off and drain all outside hose bibs. Then when severe temperatures
are in the forecast, keep a stream of water running in a few faucets to
guard against freezing and bursting!
2. Seal the Cracks
Use spray foam to block out holes and openings to help prevent cold
air from sweeping in.
3. Keep it Cozy
Set your thermostat for at least 65 degrees to make sure your home is
well-insulated!
4. Get the Fireplace Ready
Make sure your chimney is clean, stock up on firewood and store it in a
dry place. Enjoy fires on cold snowy nights!
